Lightcraft Launches Exclusive Spark Story Beta for Filmmakers and Creators at SIGGRAPH 2026

First Complete Team Previsualization System Now Ready for Beta Feedback; Interactive Shot Demo in Booth 512

At SIGGRAPH 2026, Lightcraft Technology is launching a rolling beta of Spark Story, an interactive previs tool designed to help filmmakers cut costs, shape shots and start making big, original stories on day one. New features including a 3D asset library, real-time compositing and a dedicated take sync app will also be on display in Booth 512.

 

“A new day is dawning for filmmakers who want to break free from old formulas; Backrooms and Obsession are only the beginning,” said Eliot Mack, CEO and co-founder of Lightcraft Technology. “With Spark Story, ambitious teams can rewrite the rules of Hollywood, making the projects they want to see, without the massive costs and infrastructure usually required for big ideas.”

Spark Story lets anyone start visualizing their story right away in 3D, using a browser or mobile app. Global teams can finally work together live, using scripts, Gaussians splats, imported USD assets, camera motion and more to create the fastest interactive previs yet. With a central hub for production planning, teams can not only get everyone on the same page, but neutralize future issues before they cost big money down the line.

 

Set for release in the fall, Spark Story will enter SIGGRAPH with four new features, created in collaboration with production teams from across the feature film, animation, and creator space.

  • 3D Asset and Environment Library — To help filmmakers visualize scenes faster, Lightcraft is releasing its initial 3D library filled with 25+ Marble environments from World Labs and over 300+ 3D assets, selected to fulfill classic needs across genres.

 

  • Real-Time Compositing — Spark’s iOS app now offers one-click, real-time 24p/25p live-action compositing, bringing virtual production abilities to the entire production. Whether working with AI or blue/green screen keyers, users are now able to rapidly render full-quality “Superdailies” in their phone, during the capture process, for a more comprehensive preview.

 

  • Spark Atlas — Atlas provides a cross platform, high-speed video and metadata transfer to the Spark database every time a take is captured. This automated syncing process will not only help users stay up-to-date on current shot options, but ensures that every take is always attached to the right 3D scene and script section.

 

  • Direct USD File Loading — Users can now directly import from 3D applications like Blender, Unreal Engine and Maya without converting their files to USDZ first.
